Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Chao Phraya River in Bangkok

Floating down the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand

The Chao Phraya River Cruise is a great way to spend a couple of hours in Bangkok, Thailand. Most of these boats stop at the Wat Arun Temple, which is one of the most scenic temples in Bangkok. Highlights also include seeing cool other boats along the way, buying a singha from a floating bar, and checking out the cool herons hanging out in the weeds that float in the river.

The best way to get this tour is have a taxi driver set it up or head over to the river and book one yourself. This way eliminates the middle man.

Stay tuned,
