Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Pearl Harbor leads to nuclear war

In an all out war like World War II both sides tried to invent newer and more efficient ways to kill each other. Better planes, better tanks, and better bombs were all a product of this savage total war. The Manhattan Project employed some of the biggest geniuses in the world, all in an attempt to more efficiently and more easily kill more people, end the war more quickly, and win modern world’s most total war. For America, it was the surprise attack at Pear Harbor that enabled us to enter the war on the side of Britain, France, the Soviet Union, China, the Philippines and others to combat Germany and Japan.
