Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Adventure travel bar

Adventure travel bars are not hard to find. Here is one in a Karen Village near Chiang Mai, Thailand

You would think when you are in the backwoods of Thailand in hills outside Chiang Mai, it might be hard to find a an adventure travel bar. While on an adventure travel tour in a Karen Village, over an hour away from any city of any size it would be hard to find ice to cool down a tasty beer.

This turned out to not be the case once we reached the village. Under a thatched roof hung the above sign with cold Thai beer soaking in ice and a bucket. After a walk through the hills, travelers from all over the world sat under this makeshift bar and talked about the day as well as past and future travels.

Adventure on!
