Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Osa Peninsula

The first view of the ocean on the way to Corcovado National Park

The bus ride from San José to Puerto Jimenez is a ten hour scenic trip through the heart of Costa Rica. Spectacular views of villages and mountains abound, but it is not until you get down south close to Puerto Jimenez that the ocean comes into view. This is a picture from the bus of the first view of the ocean. This is actually the Golf of Dulce which cuts into Costa Rica to make the Osa Peninsula, which is home to the fabulous Corcovado National Park.

Stay tuned,
