Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Many bunkers were destroyed by air or by naval bombardment, but many lie intact. They are a testament to the bravery of the men who had to face the artillery and machine gun onslaught in order to attain a foothold in France in order to create a second front and eventually liberate Europe.
