Alajuela, Costa Rica in the rainy season
The last day of a vacation frequently puts the traveler in a melancholic mood. When the weather is rainy and dreary it amplifies this feeling of loss. I spent my final day in Costa Rica at the Alajuela Backpackers Hostel. A place I heartily recommend for your first and last day in Costa Rica. Fortunately, I had something to look forward to in order to offset my sad last evening in Costa Rica: FOOTBALL (American that is). The New Orleans Saints were playing the Green Bay Packers kicking off the 2011-2012 football season.
