Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Yucca plant along a gravel road in Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park is known and named for the Joshua tree, but here is a picture of a Joshua Tree yucca plant. Another plant that gives this beautiful stark desert park in Southern California its cool identity is the yucca plant. I wonder if they ever considered calling it Yucca Plant National Park. Here is a shot close to the southern entrance visitor’s center.
