White-tailed deer on the Gunflint cross-country ski trail
It is considered good manners to share the cross-country ski trails, but no one told this white-tailed deer. The Gunflint cross-country ski trails along the Gunflint Trail is one of the best ski trail systems in the Midwest. At the Gunflint Lodge they feed the deer, which brings in a large population into the area. This guy was along the Highlands Trail just a couple of miles from the overlook parking lot along the road.
