Birkie skier racing through the Wisconsin north woods
This shot was taken of a Birkie skier racing through the Wisconsin north woods about ten kilometers into the race during the 40th running of the American Birkebeiner cross-country ski marathon in Hayward, Wisconsin. As you can see from the photograph, conditions were excellent as it snowed about 6 inches the night before on an already nice base. It slowed conditions down, but it made the forest beautiful, so who can complain about a little slower track.
