Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Sharing is caring!

It seems everyone and their mother has a photo essay from Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Now everyone and their mother and Traveling Ted can be included. Blogger Lola DiMarco has recently been in this wonderful country, and I have enjoyed her photos on Instagram. They have brought back good memories from my trip in 2005.

Angkor Wat Cambodia

Main Angkor Temple

A recent website and contest has listed the new seven wonders of the world. It is a wonder to me how these amazing ancient temples are not on the list. Although every place on the list is amazing, I would rather return and see these Cambodian temples again than see a few of the items on the list for a first time. I hope that you agree after viewing these pictures.

There are over 100 temples in the area around Siem Reap, but this photo essay centers around the top three temples consisting of the main temple, Phnom Bakheng, and Bayon. I will definitely post a best of the rest in another entry as temples like Ta Prohm and Banteay Srei are worthy of inclusion.
