The movie the Bridge over the River Kwai is not only a classic war film, it illustrates many reasons why it is great to adventure travel in Thailand. The movie shows beautiful jungles, exotic birds calling and flying, and friendly Thai people helping out the good guys.
The River Kwai bridge is located in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. Besides the bridge itself, there are several war museums, and war cemetery to visit in town. The river is beautiful as well and worth checking out. For more information on what to do in Kanchanaburi, check out this post on the Solo Traveler.
