Every person who took any French in school remembers two songs: Frère Jacques and Sur le Pont d’Avignon are in grained in every former French pupil’s head. The Pont d’Avignon is actually called the Pont Saint-Bénezet and is found in Avignon, France in Provence. The area is more than a French school boy chorus and a great place for adventure. As far as the song goes – for those who have forgotten, here is the unforgettable chorus:
Sur le pont d’Avignon
L’on y danse, l’on y danse
Sur le pont d’Avignon
L’on y danse tous en rond
Find the lyrics to the full song here.
Stay tuned,

Awesome photo! And yes, I’m humming the song now…
