Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Wood lily in Sleeping Bear Dunes

Wood lily in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Although Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a beautiful landscape with golden dunes, blue skies, and blue water, wildflowers are not an object one would expect. After all, you never see flower pots with sand instead of soil. Despite the formidable conditions, a few hardy flowers are able to thrive. Here is a picture of wood lilies on the Dunes Climb trail close to Lake Michigan.
