It seems like when you want to find some traveling you never do, but when you aren’t looking for it they pop up all over the place. This is especially true of the elusive sodas in Costa Rica. Sodas are not pops or soft drinks, but little mom and pop sidewalk cafés that are found all over, except when you are looking for them. While trudging up and down the streets of San José, I walked for over a half hour until I finally found a soda. They could not speak any English, but I just pointed at what mom was making and the friendly son delivered it. He found my lack of Spanish very amusing.
