Halong Bay is perhaps the most popular tourist destination in Vietnam. This is with good reason as the Karst topography creates thousands of islands that thrust out of the sea into the waiting camera lens and beckons hundreds of photos. Boat tours are easy to find in Hanoi and relatively inexpensive. Meals are included and the tour includes a night or two on a boat, which saves hotel money. A visit to an enormous cave and kayaking round out the list of activities. If you dislike tours, this is the one you have to do in Vietnam.

I agree Ted – kayaking Halong Bay is a very interesting experience as is staying on the boat.
Love the photo.

Vietnam is beautiful and your post and pictures is just one example of it.
Thanks for sharing.
I also love kayaking and that’s one of the best relaxation with me and my hubby. But one thing I won’t forget is life jacket since I don’t know how to swim much. But surely I will enjoy the sunset of Veitnam with Hubby’s camera and wide lens. Surely will capture with wonderfully 🙂
This one’s a beauty. I really loved the picture, this is like some superb art. Did you use Nikon D5100?
Beautiful photo – I love the colors on the water

All I wanted was to visit Halong Bay when I went to Vietnam and it just didn’t happen. I need to see it for myself one day soon!
