Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Palisades Head Minnesota

Palisade Head in Minnesota resembles cliffs in Ireland or France

One of the most scenic stretches of road in the United States is Highway 61, which traverses the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. This is the road many use to go to either the Boundary Waters Canoe Area or its Canadian sister, Quetico. There are many awesome places along the way like this lookout at Palisade Head which is part of Tettegouche State Park. Gooseberry Falls and Cascade River State Park are a couple other spots worthy of a stop or a stay if you have time.

Stay tuned,
