Traveling Ted is a blog that takes readers along on my adventures hiking, canoeing, skiing, and international backpacking. Many blogs focus on one aspect of backpacking, but I tackle both the outdoor adventure side and international exploration as well.

Chiang Mai trekking to a waterfall and pool – My own private swimming hole

I went on a two day trekking trip in the hills near Chiang Mai. On the first day I hiked with three other couples. One was from San Francisco, another was from Paris, and the third was from Seoul. They departed after the first day. I was the only person to book for two days, so I had a guide and the hills of Chiang Mai to myself. Near our campsite was this stream that cascaded into a tiny pool. It was just wide enough to swim in and surprisingly deep in the middle. It was my own private swimming hole in Thailand.

Stay tuned,
