Cross-country skiing as the sun sets is an enjoyable way to spend the last fading hours of day. The only sound that resonates in the forest is the scraping of skis in the powdery snow. Stop for a moment and it is haunting how quiet the woods are. You wish you could stay here forever, and the words of Robert Frost echo in your heads: “The woods are lovely dark and deep, but I have” cross-country ski trails to finish.
