Krakow, Poland is a city I wish I had more time to explore. I came to this city to see remnants of the Auschwitz Death Camp. I then had a short window to meet up with a friend in Warsaw, so I only had one night in this beautiful city. While walking around after a tour of Auschwitz, I ambled past Wawel Castle. One of the many places I wish I had more time to visit. Its origins date from the 14th Century. A column fragment from Wawel actually is incorporated in Chicago’s Tribune Tower.
For tips on what to do in Krakow besides Auschwitz and Wawel Castle, check out this post.
Stay tuned,

Wawel Castle is definitely one of the most popular attractions in Krakow and Poland. Also, it is one of the most beautiful castles of the world.

Hello Jillian,
Glad I introduced you to a new castle. What is your favorite castle destination?
My favorite? There’s too many! Lol I’m not sure. But my dream castle destination is probably somewhere in Scotland or Ireland! I haven’t had the chance to travel to either of those countries yet, though, so all the castles there are a bit romanticized in my eyes I think hahaha. I really love Ashford and Blackrock castles in Ireland, One of the most beautiful castles I’ve ever seen is in Italy though — Scaliger Castle! The water surrounding it is turquoise! I also really want to visit Edinburgh and Eilean Donan in Scotland! And Eltz in Germany. And hundreds of others. I really really really love castles. And the older, the better! I like to imagine the people that used to live there. And I love buildings that can talk and tell a good story haha <3 <3 <3
