This photo was take in the Florida Everglades National Park. One of the most intriguing birds is the anhinga, also called the snake bird. The bird can dive into the water then swim and impale fish with its knife like beak, but there is one problem. The man upstairs neglected to give it any protection for its wings. Many birds that dive have some sort of natural protection when underwater that keeps their wings dry. The anhinga lacks this, so after it dives it must perch on a tree and dry its wings. What is a bane for a bird is a bounty for bird photographers as this awkward natural moment is a good time to get a great pose.
Stay tuned,
