The American Birkebeiner cross-country ski Marathon is only a month away and currently there is a shortage of snow in Hayward, Wisconsin. There is not much snow anywhere in the state. One-by-one, many winter events all across the state have been canceled from biathlons, skiing races, and candlelight night skis. Let us pray that the same fate does not befall the 40th anniversary race of this prestigious race.

I will pray every day! We have plenty of snow in the Alps here in Europe!

I know this feeling! Here I am, trying to enjoy winter for the first time in my life, and guess what – no snow! I want to cross country ski and snowshoe and it’s just impossible. I will pray and pray and pray for you!!

It has been a frustrating winter, but it is picking up. We finally have snow. The nun worked!
I will pray for snow because otherwise that nun may come to beat me up! Hopefully there will be a great snow surprise and enable this event to take place!

The nun worked. We got enough snow this weekend. Now we just need it to stay cold and not melt.
Keeping my fingers crossed! And that’s saying a lot, since I can’t wait till spring. Good luck, Ted!
