Florida, or the Sunshine State, has some of the most beautiful rivers in America. In the north you have the Suwannee, the Sante Fe, and the Ichetucknee. In the Central portion you have the rivers of the Ocala National Forest and the Hillsborough River near Tampa. In the south you have Big Cypress National Preserve and the giant Everglades National Park, which is a giant river in of itself. All great reasons to grab a canoe and head to Florida.

It really can be beautiful! Airboat rides can be pretty cool too. Not quite as graceful and relaxing, but a close up into the wildlife where you would get stuck in the mud with a canoe!

I have never done an airboat ride, but I would like to check it out. Sometimes it is nice to let something mechanized do all the work.
