At a ranger led program at Flamingo in the Everglades National Park, we saw a slide show about suggested activities inside the park. The program started out with saying that many people who enter the Everglades never stray too far from the safety of their car. Although there are some fantastic scenic drives, the interior of the Everglades is an amazing adventure. One of the suggested hikes was taking a swamp walk. Check with the Everglades Visitor Center on places to hike through the swamp. It is definitely worth it.

I love the Everglades, used to live in South Florida, and it was fun to head out along Alligator Alley to Billie’s Swamp Safari.
