Snow covered Vern Wolf Lake in Richard Bong Recreation Area
One of the quietest outdoor places in Wisconsin during the winter time is Richard Bong Recreation Area near Burlington, Wisconsin. Ski fanatics head to the nearby Kettle Moraines leaving only a few to wander this picturesque park. I skied here on a Saturday and had the place to myself.
Richard Bong Recreation Area is part of the wonderful Wisconsin State Park system. There is a fee system to enjoy all of these parks. For more information on the fees click here.
