The day after Earth Day
Every day should be Earth Day. For those who really enjoy a certain day each year whether it is Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or your birthday always feel a let down the day after knowing they have to wait 364 more days for the event to come around again. To make matters worse, this year is Leap Year.
Mother Earth is sure to be bummed out this morning knowing it has to wait another year for its day. Don’t fret Earth, it is always Earth Day in my book. Here is a collage of photos I have taken in the last few years featuring you in order for you to turn that frown upside down.

These are some beautiful photos Ted! I would suggest considering a calendar to share awareness of Earth’s beauty and fragility!

That is actually a great idea Robb. The Traveling Ted Earth Day calendar. I like the ring of it.
Great pics! I like how you started with Zion– I am going there in May to hike and camp. Any tips? 🙂

You know, Ted, it really would be enough if you were simply a superb travel writer. Yet, your photographs also always provoke jaw-dropping variations of Omigod, Sweet J—- and other exclamations of disbelief at the breadth of your insight and ability to capture the majesty of our planet.
There simply are not sufficient superlatives to adequately describe how you expand the pure joy your photographs deliver, almost casually. Mother Earth — and your countless fans — owe you big time, buddy.

Thanks Jay,
I appreciate the support. The great thing about adventure travel is it gets you to places where taking photographs seem to take themselves. For instance, I had to walk ten miles into the Grand Canyon to get the perspective of the river cutting through the canyon. Most only get the iconic view of the whole canyon from the South Rim, which is awesome too.
Ted – you’ve got some beautiful shots in there that make me want to travel right this very minute. I think I’ll add the Great Smoky’s to my bucket list.

The Great Smoky Mountains are a bucket list killer for me. I keep going back again and again when I should be adding new things to my bucket list. I don’t mind as the hiking is incredible.
You are right about that. the pictures are absolutely beautiful.
God has created such a beautiful place for us all!! Ted, you’ve captured Gaia’s beauty splendidly and I love your philosophy about “everyday being Earth Day!” Nice job my friend!!
