Versatility is a key word for items that go in my backpack especially when it comes to clothing. I cannot have one pair of pants for hiking, one for casual, a pair of pajamas, and another pair of dress up pants. I need a multi purpose clothing line for travel in order to preserve space and keep my backpack light. PrAna fits the bill.
Road trip to Tennessee
I received my package from prAna and immediately opened it and put on the Sutra pants. The fit and comfort level was immediately impressive. I was leaving for a fishing road trip to Tennessee, and I planned to take a nap before driving most of the night. The pants accompanied me during my sleep.
I woke up five hours later, and I immediately jumped up and started to pack. Twenty minutes later I was in the car for a ten hour drive to East Tennessee to meet friends for a weekend fishing trip. I never took off the pants until I got down to Tennessee and had to change into shorts.
Sutra Pants
The Sutra pants is cut for a relaxed fit made with a hemp/polyester blend with a touch of spandex for increased mobility. The fabric is quick drying and reduces odor, which are two keys when traveling. The pants come complete with a drawstring waistband that actually stays secure even with a wallet, keys, and iPhone in pockets. The only negative is there is no zipper. This takes a little getting used to, but once accustomed becomes no big deal.
Furrow shorts
I also received a pair of Furrow shorts. Basically more of the same on the fit and comfort side and these shorts had a zipper. I was set for all types of weather on this trip. As soon as I hit Tennessee, it was in the 80s, so I ditched the pants for the Furrow shorts.
PrAna Sustainability
Another reason to love prAna is their sustainability ethic. Their motto is “all in – in all” and encompasses three values. They include seeking out material from sustainable sources, treating people fairly, and improving the industry through their processes. Hard not to like a company that uses 100% organic cotton, hemp, and recycled cotton to minimize their footprint while at the same time treating their workers fairly.

I would love to check out Prana very timely since I am planning to update my wardrobe and hoping to get more items that are more comfortable. I prefer no zippers so this is great.
You will love PrAna Paul. Thank you!
