One of the bay’s most outstanding features is its golden beach, which runs for hundreds of kilometers, and has splendid diving and surfing areas, not to mention a staggering range of sea creatures, which makes it a favorite among nature lovers. That said, its hinterland features national parks and subtropical rainforests, with Mount Warning, which was formed during the prehistoric times by a violent volcanic eruption, being situated right at the center. The mount is considered sacred by the aboriginal tribes that live around it.

The Whitsunday Islands are made up of seventy-four islands that border the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea. The area has a bustling marine life, and is the place to be if you are into game fishing, love sailing, or simply wish to relax and enjoy the scenery in a serene environment on an uninhabited island. However, if you are in a romantic mood, the popular Whitehaven Beach, which has a seven-kilometer shoreline, is the crown jewel. It has one of the most picturesque and photographed beaches in the country and, is the perfect place to hang out with a loved one. While there, you can also charter a yacht and go swimming, snorkeling or diving.
Gold Coast, Queensland
This iconic destination has about seventy kilometers of beautiful sand-drenched beaches including the world renowned ‘Surfers Paradise’. If you love water sports, you can enjoy a bit of body boarding at Burleigh Heads, surf at North Stradbroke Island, and if paddling is your thing, you can try that out starting from Gold Coast Seaway, on till South Stradbroke Island. Queensland is also a great destination for those who wish to enjoy a unique Australian nightlife as it offers many nightclubs, bars where fun, glitz, and glamor is the order of the night. For nature lovers, the destination has wonderful World Heritage listed rainforests and national parks to check out.
