Down the slope is the larger town of Interlaken, which offers adventure travellers all the necessary amenities, including shopping facilities and excellent restaurants serving traditional Swiss dishes.

For a completely unique holiday experience, consider heading to the Laplands in the winter. The extreme northern locale makes the Swedish Lapland a winter wonderland. Though there are many different holiday packages available, most holidays last about a week and allow visitors to participate in almost every snow sport available. Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding is of course very popular, but adventure seekers may choose to try their hand at snowmobiling or husky sledding. Either way, a trip to the Laplands should be on every adventure-seeker’s bucket list, as there’s no place quite like it in the world.
